So you’re thinking of investing in a personal trainer but not sure if it’s worth it? Well, let me start with the most important reason to hire one….
1. You Are Worth The Investment!
Stop procrastinating with your health and put yourself on the top of the priority list! Women are notorious for helping others at their own expense.
I get it……..
We are constantly taking care of other people and situations so it’s easy to forget abut what’s most important. But how are you going to take care of ANYTHING if you can’t take care of yourself?
And don’t forget, if you have children, they are learning more about how to take care of themselves by watching you than they are by listening to you. Damn it! Adulting is sooooo hard 😉
It’s true, your health should be number one and if you can’t do that for yourself then do it for everyone you love (not going to ream you about self love at this moment) <3
2. Having Someone To Hold You Accountable
It’s reallllllllly easy to skip out on going to the gym when there isn’t anyone but yourself to hold you accountable. I like to connect with my clients by exchanging phone numbers and making sure they feel comfortable calling or texting for any reason. This also allows me to send text reminders before our appointments and check in when I feel necessary.
Think about it…. when you set up a doctors appointment, you make sure to get there right?
Well, I hope so!
Think of this as your Dr. appoint that avoids MANY other doctors appointments in the future lol!
Really though, everyone’s time is valuable and deep down, we all know this. That combined with the money you’re spending on sessions makes it much less likely for you to skip out on a workout. Eventually you get to a place where you know how amazing your going to feel after the session. This adds another positive mental motivator to get your arse up and headed to the gym……. which brings me to my next point.
3. The Mental Workout Can Be The Most Difficult
I firmly believe EVERYONE should have a trainer. I have a trainer, my trainer has three trainers…
Because there is a mental aspect of working out as well. Many notice when they first begin working out with a trainer….. they feel like giving up before all the reps or sets are accomplished but their trainer convinces them it’s possible.
And what do ya know? They push through them all feeling super accomplished 🙂
Sometimes our own minds hold us back from becoming our greatest potential. We tell our selves “That’s too heavy, I’m too weak, I can’t do this” etc. Personal trainers have a way of shutting up all that crap and focusing your efforts to the max. Just like with any workout, the more you practice breaking through those mental barriers, the better you get at it!
So go get your mental work out on!
4. Motivation & Support Always Brings More Results
Similar to the last point but also in it’s own lane, motivation and support is important for ANY goal achievement. If you don’t have a workout buddy, a healthy home or work life etc. the odds of you staying with a workout regime drop tremendously.
Luckily your trainer is your biggest fan! I celebrate each day a client comes in, breaks records, hits goals. I’m there to guide them through difficult situations or obstacles that could be holding them back from success.
Having someone always there for you to answer questions, cheer you on, pick you back up ….. is priceless and a HUGE asset when working towards goals.
4. Nothing Is Easier Than Listening To a Pro
Not sure what muscles to work, what exercises to do, what style of training to follow, how long of a rest to take etc?
Seriously…. it’s overwhelming, and quite frankly a waste of your energy. Trainers take on all the work of planning, program writing, progressing etc. so you can just focus on getting a good workout and accomplishing your goals!
Of course you can always let your trainer know if there’s some techniques you’re curious about or even ones you can’t stand! Your interests, goals & preferences all help to personalize the program.
Stop wasting time wondering what to do and start transforming yourself with a trainer!
